American singer-songwriter FLETCHER released the third single called “Doing Better”, following “Eras of Us” and “Lead Me On”, from her upcoming sophomore album “In Search Of The Antidote” on March 1, 2024.
The song captures the complexities of navigating post-breakup emotions and the conflicting feelings of strength and vulnerability.
The track was written by Cari Fletcher, Jennifer Decilveo, Jeremy 'Kinetics' Dussolliet, Mary Weitz, and Tim 'One Love' Sommers. Produced by Jennifer Decilveo and One Love.
“I wrote ‘Doing Better’ as a way to explore my ego and call myself out, but also to tell the truth about what I was feeling at the time,” FLETCHER said of the song in a press release. “When I put out ‘Becky’s So Hot’ it got quite a reaction, but in a lot of ways that attention didn’t feel good.”- The new album is due out on March 22, 2024, and comprises a 11-track, produced by Jon Bellion, Jennifer Decilveo, One Love, Pete Nappi, and The Monsters & Strangerz.
FLETCHER said of the album, “This is a record about love in all of its infinite manifestations. And it being an exploration of like every emotion, every feeling, whether that be like rage or joy or being turned on and horny or your ego needing to write a song or complete happiness and elation and excitement about life and all of its possibilities and that is just feeling that full range of it and being so connected to your heart and allowing yourself to go to those spaces is an has always been the ultimate antidote.” - source : Apple Music
