Marshmello & venbee Team Up for New Song “No Man's Land”
American DJ Marshmello teamed up with Kent-based singer-songwriter venbee to release a new song “No Man's Land” on January 12, 2024.
This marks the first collaboration between Marshmello and venbee.
The track was written by Earwulf, Erin Doyle, Jonny Lattimer, Marshmello, Nicholas James Gale, and Violet Skies. Produced by Marshmello, Digital Farm Animals, and Earwulf.
Marshmello said of the song, ”This is my first time making a song with drum and bass influences and I'm super happy with how the song came out ”
venbee said, ”It's been great working with Mello and I'm very grateful for the opportunity! It's about feeling lost, feeling like everywhere you go even if it's your home you never feel full, you're by yourself in this 'No Man's Land.'”- Marshmello explained how making the song on social media, “So scrolling through TikTok and I came across these fire vocals from an artist named venbee, she's looking for some production behind it so I thought I'd give it a go. First we're going to start off with some guitar. Then recorded these claps on voice memo. Then I added this bass, this probably took the longest getting these drums right. Here's another layer I basically just sang over and over and over again and layered them all together. So it sounds like a big crowd. I wanted to have some big grand finale, so I made these plucks. Here's how all that sounds together.”
