Maisy Kay Covers Kate Bush's “Running Up That Hill”
Los Angeles-based British singer-songwriter Maisy Kay released a cover of British singer-songwriter Kate Bush's “Running Up That Hill” on December 15, 2023.
This single, shared as a thank you to fans, caps off a busy 2023 for Maisy Kay following the release of the EP “Metamorphosis” last month.
The song, originally titled “Running Up That Hill (A Deal with God)“, was released by Kate Bush in 1985 as the lead single from her fifth studio album “Hounds of Love”.
The song reached No. 3 on the UK Singles chart. Also the song was featured in the fourth season of the Netflix series “Stranger Things”, and gained renewed attention in May 2022.
The track was written by Kate Bush. The cover version was produced byMike Avenaim, and Morgan Taylor Reid.
Maisy Kay said of the song, “It was so much fun performing this song on tour with JVKE, because I could interact with the fans. And since everyone watches Stranger Things, I thought 'Running Up That Hill' would be the perfect song.
