Loving Announces New Album “Any Light”, Shares New Song “Medicine”
Canadian indie folk-pop band Loving, consisting of Jesse Henderson and David Parry, has announced their sophomore album “Any Light” will be released on February 9, 2024 via Last Gang Records/MNRK.
It is their first album in four years since the 2020 debut album “If I Am Only My Thoughts”.
The album comprises 10-track, which explores love, depression, existential uncertainty, and the psychic consequences of living in an increasingly digitized world.
Jesse Henderson said of the album, “When I looked at all of these songs together, I realized that the concept of light was threaded throughout the album. For me, light signifies awareness or insight, which ties into how many of these songs document a shift in perspective.”- From the album, the band released a new song “Medicine” on November 27, 2023.
The song is the second single off of the album, following “Blue” released last month.
It was written and produced by Jesse Henderson and David Parry.
The accompanying music video animated by John Andrews.
The band said of the song, “It's loosely based on our friend's story of exploring plant medicine in South America, and a transcendental event he experienced during his time there.” -
