Jessie Wagner Drops New Music Video for Cover of Solomon Burke's “Cry To Me”
Back in May, New York based singer-songwriter Jessie Wagner released a cover of 1960's classic “Cry To Me”.
The original version of the song was recored by American soul singer Solomon Burke in 1961 and released it in 1962.
The track was written by Bert Berns. The cover version was produced by Jessie Wagner and Dave Diamond.
On August 10, she dropped a new music video for the song directed by Eben Moore.
Jessie Wagner said of the song, “Are you sad the summer is ending, well come on and Cry To Me! You can keep it going with this summer banger. Here's my homage to Dirty Dancing.”
She continued, “Ever since I saw Patrick Swayze gently sway Jennifer Grey in his beautifully sculpted arms to Solomon Burke's 'Cry To Me,' I was immediately obsessed with this sensual song.
