Birdy Premieres New Song “Paradise Calling” on BBC Radio 2
British singer-songwriter Birdy premiered a new song “Paradise Calling” on BBC Radio 2 with Jo Whiley on July 12, 2023.
The song is the fourth single off of her upcoming fifth studio album “Portraits”, which is set to be released August 18, 2023.
This time, she crafted rhythmic dance music unlike her previous songs.
The track was written by Anya Louise Jones, Edward James Carlile, and Jasmine Van den Bogaerde. Produced by Anya Jones, Birdy, and King Ed.
The accompanying music video was directed by Max Mclachlan.
Birdy told Jo Whiley about the video, “I'm enjoying it. It's fun. She just shot the video for this song and so I've been doing some dancing. It's just new for me. I really loved doing the videos, but yeah, this the first time we've attempted to do some kind of dance. But yeah, it's fun. It's literally just me, dancing. I had an amazing choreographer who was helping me with it, but I actually haven't seen in the final thing yet. So I don't know how it's gonna turn out. I might be awful.
