Walk Off The Earth & Lindsey Stirling Team Up for New Song “Long Way Home”
Canadian alt-pop band Walk off the Earth, consisting of Gianni "Luminati" Nicassio (vocals/bass), Joel Cassady (drums), Sarah Blackwood (vocals/ukulele/guitar), David 'Tokyo' Speirs (percussion) and Adam Michael (guitar), teamed up with American violinist Lindsey Stirling to release a new song “Long Way Home” on June 30, 2023.
This marks the first collaboration between Walk Off The Earth and Lindsey Stirling.
The song is the follow-up to “My Stupid Heart”, which was released back in January.
It was written by Sarah Blackwood. Gianni Luminati Nicassio, Tokyo Speirs, and Lindsey Stirling.
Produced by Gianni Luminati Nicassio, Tokyo Speirs, and Space Primates.
Walk off the Earth said of the song, “'Long Way Home' evokes a sentiment of romantic nostalgia and a desire for an unhurried journey. The idea of taking the long way home signifies a willingness to savor the present moment. It's about spontaneous adventure, exploring unfamiliar places and creating lasting memories with the one you love. The references to the lemon trees and the stars in their eyes evoke a sense of enchantment and serenity. The idea that every moment spent with that person is precious and worth cherishing, even if it means deviating from the usual path.”
