Vancouver-based singer-songwriter Xana Morris, aka Xana released a new song “babyblue” on June 2, 2023.
The song is the third single since the 2022 debut album “Tantrums”, following “bet you'll get off on this” and “Bad Bandit”.
The track was written by Xana Morris and produced by Liam Moes and Shane Stephenson.
The song narrates the painful and bittersweet realization of growing older, time passing and how it inevitably leads to becoming more distant with childhood friends.
Xana Morris said of the song, “It’s about the anxiety that comes with the passage of time, looking back on those imperative teenage years with nostalgia and longing, hoping that everyone who you loved, who shaped and held you in your youth, is doing alright out there without you.”
Also, she shared on social media, “a song about friendship, missing your youth and how weird it is to grow up. babyblue is so special to me and is literally a page ripped out of my diary so i feel like my insides are on display !! if you relate in any way, my heart is with you tenfold today!”- source : Apple Music
