Slowe Announces Debut Album “Where the Mind Wanders”, Shares New Song “Stay Right Here”
Bristol-based singer-songwriter Sophie Hawes, aka Slowe announced her debut album “Where the Mind Wanders” would be released July 28, 2023.
The album comprises 10-track, featuring guest appearance from Rachai, including preceding singles “WLYTK”, “Superego”, and “Fix Me Up”.
The album title stemmed from this raw “glimpse into the places her mind goes, good and bad”.
Sophie Hawes explained about the album, “A big theme throughout the album is exploring the feeling of being twenty-something and not knowing where things are headed for you, and if you're on the right path.”
From the album, she unveiled a new song “Stay Right Here” on May 16, 2023.
The track was written and produced by Sophie Hawes, with production by Laurence Fazakerley-Buglass.
Aiming for a classic, '70s soul feel Sophie Hawes and Laurence Fazakerley-Buglass, composed a string section by delicately layering each player and recreated a vintage quality using pedal effects to pair with Conor Harrington's relaxed drum-line.
