Niall Horan Performs “Heaven” on The Jonathan Ross Show
Irish singer-songwriter Niall Horan appeared on The Jonathan Ross Show to perform his latest song “Heaven”.
The song was released back in February from his upcoming third studio album “The Show”.
The track was written by Niall Horan, Joel Little, Tobias Jesso Jr., and John Ryan. Produced by Joel Little and John Ryan.
On March 10th, he released the acoustic version of the song.
The new album is set to be released on June 9, 2023.
On the show, Niall Horan explained that he often turned to fellow Ed Sheeran and Lewis Capaldi for advice of making the album.
“Lewis, or Ed Sheeran, if he's about, I'll see if I can get some sort of an opinion. They're so used to releasing stuff all the time. I get a gauge off them of where I'm at. I remember Ed, during lockdown I was really struggling to get any creative juices flowing, and Ed just said to me, 'You're going to have to swim through some of the s***** water to get to the clear stuff.'”
Niall Horan said of the song, “One thing I've learned over the years is that society loves to pressure us into reaching certain milestones by a certain age. Whether that's getting married or anything else that really should be based on our own instincts. As I've gotten older I've tried to let go of those expectations and just follow my heart. The chorus of this song is saying that what I have in my life currently is amazing. So it would be crazy to ruin that by giving into outside pressures.”
He said of the album, “This album is a piece of work I'm so proud of and now it's time to pass it over to you to go and make it your own. Thank you so much for being there for me all this time and I can't wait to share the next couple of years of this new era with you. I've missed you all so much. It's good to be back.”
