Jack White Performs “Taking Me Back”, “Fear of the Dawn” & “A Tip From You To Me” on Saturday Night Live
American singer-songwriter Jack White appeared on Saturday Night Live to perform “Taking Me Back”, “Fear of the Dawn” and “A Tip From You To Me” on February 25, 2023.
This marks his fifth time Jack White has been the musical performer on the sketch show.
His last performance on SNL was in 2022, when he was a last-minute replacement for Morgan Wallen, who was violated the production's COVID-19 safety protocols.
Performed as a medley, “Taking Me Back” and “Fear of the Dawn” are featured on his fourth studio album “Fear of the Dawn”, which was released in April 2022.
“A Tip From You To Me” is included on the fifth studio album “Entering Heaven Alive”, which was released in July 2022.- Both albums were recorded throughout 2021 at Third Man Studio in Nashville.
“Fear of the Dawn” featured his traditional rock sound. While, “Entering Heaven Alive” featured a folk sound.
Jack White told Apple Music about the album, “When I work on music, I always feel like I'm trying to do something new. But I know quite often I'm taking things that worked in the past that I think are less well-known, or they're interesting or idiosyncratic or whatever it is, and juxtaposing it with something I've never done before.” - source : NBC
