American singer-songwriter Adam Lambert released a cover of Billie Eilish's “Getting Older” on January 27, 2023.
The song is the fourth single off of his upcoming fifth studio album “High Drama”, which is set to be released on February 24, 2023.
The original version of “Getting Older” was released by American singer-songwriter Billie Eilish from her second studio album “Happier Than Ever” in 2021.
The track was written by Billie Eilish O'Connell and Finneas Baird O'Connell.
The song charted in 14 countries and reached the top 40 of 5 national charts.
Adam Lambert's version was produced by Tommy English.
“High Drama” is his first collection of covers and comprises 11-track, including Pink's “My Attic”, Lana Del Rey's “West Coast”, Noel Coward's “Mad About The Boy”, Duran Duran's “Ordinary World”, Bonnie Tyler's “Holding Out for a Hero” and more.
“The idea came up to do an album of covers, and I haven't done that before,” Adam Lambert said of the album. “some are obscure, some are new, some are really well-known.”- Recently, Adam Lambert appeared on American coming-of-age film “Fairyland”, where he played as Charlie.
The film was directed by Andrew Durham in his directorial debut, starring Emilia Jones, Scoot McNairy, Geena Davis, Cody Fern, Adam Lambert and Maria Bakalova.
It is based on Alysia Abbott's memoir “Fairyland: A Memoir of My Father”.
The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on January 20, 2023.
