Vancouver-based singer-songwriter Teon Gibbs released a new song “Easy” on November 15, 2022.
The song is his second single under his new label 100 Collective Records, following “Overtime” released back in August.
This time, he teamed up with Vancouver-based Jamaican singer-songwriter Jaspa, Vancouver-based keyboardist Jonny Tobin and Canadian producer Falcxne on the track.
The track was written by Teon Gibbs, Jaspa, Jonny Tobin, Falcxne, Tshepho Sawdon and Clive Fagan.

Teon Gibbs said of the song, “'Easy' (feat. Jaspa & Jonny Tobin & Falcxne) embodies the joy of a new relationship as you try to hold onto those moments of new love. It’s inspired by someone special who I had history with; when we finally figured things out, and moved on from just being friends, everything just felt right; it was really good. It was easy.”- He continued, “I developed the drum pattern, then Jonny, Falxcne, Jub and I created this song out of pure synergy. The strings and synths give it this spacey, floating feeling, and we wanted that to have groove. We brought in Nate Drobner from Potatohead People whose electric bass in the verses takes that effect to the max. “Easy” is lush, fresh and passionate like infatuation.”
He added, “This is the second single to come out under my own imprint 100 Collective Records via Tiny Kingdom, with the goal of being the flagship for more organic-sounding Hip-Hop and R&B coming out of Western Canada. I want to push the envelope and make records that no one else can. This genre-bending release feels like a milestone moment in my career growth and sound exploration.
