Florence + The Machine Releases New Song “Heaven Is Here”
Back in February, British alt-rock band Florence + The Machine retuned with the new single “King”, which marked their first music since the Disney film “Cruella” soundtrack “Call Me Cruella”.
Following the song, she unveiled a new song “Heaven Is Here” along with a music video on March 7, 2022.
It was written by Florence Welch and co-produced by Dave Bayley, Jack Antonoff and Kid Harpoon.
The accompanying video was directed by Autumn de Wilde, who filmed it in Ukraine last year. Frontwoman Florence Welch wrote, “Two of the dancers in this video are currently sheltering, to my brave and beautiful sisters Marine and Nastia. I love you. I wish I could put my arms around you. Strength.”
Florence Welch shared on social media, “Heaven is Here was the first song I wrote in lockdown after an extended period of not being able to get to the studio. I wanted to make something monstrous. And this clamour of joy, fury and grief was the first thing that came out.”
She continued, “With dance studios also shut it was my dream to one day create choreography with it. So it's one of the first pieces of music I have made specifically with contemporary dance in mind.”- source : Spotify
