  • Years & Years Premieres New Song “Sweet Talker” featuring Galantis on BBC Radio 1

  • British singer-songwriter Olly Alexander's solo project Years & Years premiered a new song “Sweet Talker” on BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds with Clara Amfo.

This time, he teamed up with Swedish DJ duo Galantis on the track.
The song will appear on his upcoming third studio album “Night Call”, which is set to be released on January 7, 2022.
Olly Alexander told Clara Amfo about the song, “To be honest, I always feel quite nervous. But this one I've been so excited for it to come out. So I think that's kind of like that's adding to the to the anxiety slightly basically, it's a good feeling. I'm just I'm really happy to do. I know I feel like everybody's met a sweet talker before in their life, someone that you know, chat a lot of sweet stuff to you, promises your good things, but maybe is a little lacking. You know, when it comes to when it comes down to it or kind of all leads you in the lurch. It can be a whole array of different things. But I also just love that word Sweet Talker. So I wanted to write the song about it.”
He said of the collaboration with Galantis, “I'm so happy to have glances on this track. I had a song kind of the song ready and then they heard it and like got a whole string to make that whole, like pause for a moment. And they just brought so much to the track. And really, I'm so happy. Like how much they loved it and I'm excited for it.”
  • The new album comprises 11-track and is the first album as his solo project Years & Years.
He said of the album, “I have to say like making the music was the funnest part of the last couple years really like in the studio. I have such a fun I had such a good time. Like the people I was collaborating with and just especially like going from lockdown to like try to I went back to like square one with writing songs and like started again with my album and then I did struggle at points but it was like mostly just my time to have fun in escape. So that's why all the music I've only wanted to listen to happy music and not have any ballads. So it was like really a most of the time I was just alone in my flat, and then getting to make the songs so I kind of just got all the kind of like fantasy and all the sort of like, going out and having fun stuff that was missing. I put it in the music. So yeah, it was it was definitely like a fun.”
