Patrick Droney Releases New Song “Like The Water”
Back in May, American singer-songwriter Patrick Droney released his long-awaited debut album “State of the Heart”.
Four months later, he released his first single called “Like The Water”, following the album.
It was written by Sarah Buxton, Patrick Droney and Nick Ruth. Produced by Ben West and Patrick Droney.
He wrote the song two years ago. Patrick Droney shared on social media, “With fullness of heart I am proud to share 'Like The Water' with you guys. This song has been patiently waiting for its moment since it came to life two years ago. There's a depth and magnitude to love and water. Essential elements that sustain us. I hope you enjoy this pairing.”
The accompanying music video was directed by Gus Black.
He said, “'Like The Water' came in something like a riptide and over the years would pull me in whenever I got close to it. When Gus Black and I came together with the incredibly talented Juliette Labelle for the video we wanted to let the landscape tell the story. I feel a deep sense of peace when I watch this and I'm so grateful to the team alongside Devin Sarno, MacKenzie Paulson, Peggy Wright for making this happen.
