American singer-songwriter Katy Perry appeared on The Project in Australia to perform her latest song “Never Worn White”.
This marks the first time she has performed the song on TV. Before the TV program, she performed at the Women’s T20 World Cup in Melbourne in front of a record crowd at the MCG on International Women’s Day.
“I think it set the bar super high and it shows that women are strong and powerful and as interesting to watch in sport as anyone else,” she said.
Also, she revealed on the interview her sixth studio album will be released this summer.
On the interview, she said she was eager to do the event even with the context of Coronavirus, where most large-scale events are being cancelled or postponed across the world — including a bushfire fundraiser scheduled in Melbourne with Miley Cyrus and Lil Nas X.
“I think we all have to take it one step at a time, and use both our right and left brains,” she said. “The thing about coming to Australia, we actually got fined $150 for bringing in some Manuka Honey, so I thought, ‘if that’s the bar they’re setting for safety, then I’m feeling good about this trip’.”- source : Idolator
