  • Adam Lambert Releases Cover of Cher's “Believe”

  • American singer-songwriter Adam Lambert covered Cher’s 1998 “Believe”. He performed the song at The 41st Annual Kennedy Center Honors in 2018.


    Adam Lambert said, “It’s been a year since I performed this cover live for @cher at the #kennedycenterhonors. A lot of you have mentioned wanting a studio recording, so here’s a little holiday gift from me to you. Thank you for being the most loyal and dedicated fans this queen could ask for!”
    The Kennedy Center Honors is an annual honor given to those in the performing arts for their lifetime of contributions to American culture.
    Cher received a Kennedy Center Honors prize in 2018, along with Philip Glass, Reba McEntire, Wayne Shorter, and the creators of Hamilton: An American Musical (Lin-Manuel Miranda, Thomas Kail, Alex Lacamoire, and Andy Blankenbuehler).
    "Tried 2 write Feelings About Adam Lambert Singing Believe In Words,but Cant seem 2.When Your senses are Overwhelmed All Can you feel with your heart," Cher tweeted after the TV special.
    “Believe” was released as the lead single from her twenty-second album “Believe” in 1998. It was written by Brian Higgins, Stuart McLennen, Paul Barry, Steven Torch, Matthew Gray, Timothy Powell and Cher.
    The track reached No. 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100, the UK Singles chart and other 21 countries worldwide.
