Bird Concerns Premieres New Song “The Monster” on SoundCloud
- Los Angeles-based garage rock band Bird Concerns has released a new song "The Monster" via SoundCloud. The song is taken from their forthcoming sophomore album and follows up their latest EP "Is This Really Love?", which was released last May.
The band has already shot a music video for it, which will be premiered shortly. Also they plan to release another single "Oh Well".
Bird Concerns consists of Marcus Buser (Bass, Vocals), Travis Meador (Guitar, Vocals), Jake Sucher (Guitar, Vocals) and Cooper Wolken (Drums, Vocals). They began as a collaboration between fellow CalArts students. In 2016, the band released a debut album "'Til Morning Comes".
The band is currently working on their sophomore album (yet-untitled), which is expected to be released in later 2018.
- The band told Asymmetric Magazine about their music in an interview;
"On the most basic level, we’re a surf rock band. Two electric guitars, rich vocal harmonies, and beach-dancing grooves. Below the surface we all have a lot of subtle influences. We all have experience with lots of different music from jazz to punk to classical. So inadvertently, those influences sneak there way into our songs and arrangements. Something like if the Beach Boys listened to more Deerhoof and Sonic Youth.
Our last EP was a collection of love songs from different angles, from different perspectives in the journey. This next release is a little more introspective. Looking for one’s place in the world while fighting inner demons and trying to be a good person. But there’s always room for more love."
