The Veils Releases New Song “No Limit Of Stars”
New Zealand-based alt-rock band The Veils has released a new song “No Limit Of Stars” along with a music video.
The song is the second single off of their upcoming double album “...And Out of the Void Came Love”, following “Undertow” released last month.
It was written by Finn Andrews. The band frontman Finn Andrews said that the single is captivating meditation “on the themes of the record: the certainty of death, the power of new life, and the dizziness of contemplating your place in an unknowably vast cosmos”.
Directed by Alexander Gandar the accompanying video was shot entirely on 6mm film and inspired by the 1970s thriller The Parallax View.
- The new album comprises 15-track and is intended to be listened to in two sittings with a short break in the middle.
Finn Andrews said, “Make a coffee or smoke a cigarette – but don't mow the lawn or go to the movies or something, that takes too long.”
On the album, composer Victoria Kelly's soaring string arrangements play an integral role in bringing the songs to life, as do musicians Cass Basil (bass), Dan Raishbrook (lap steel, guitar), Liam Gerrard (piano), Joseph McCallum (drums) the NZTrio and special guests the Smoke Fairies on backing vocals.
The album is set to be released on March 3, 2023.
