Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ ACER Releases New Song “Vacant”
Canadian dream pop duo ACER, consisting of instrumentalist/producer Kyle Gottschalk and vocalist Connory Ballantyne, released a new song “Vacant” along with a music video on June 10, 2022.
The song is the second single off of their upcoming self-titled debut EP, following “Baker St.”
It was written by Connory Ballantyne and produced by ACER.
On the track, Connory Ballantyne had started dating someone new after a truly crushing breakup, and so the experience of restarting sparked reflection on the perpetuity and strangeness of his feelings.
The video was directed by Gabe Seamon and ACER.
The duo shared on social media, “Gerb Seamon filmed an amazing music video for us this week. Huge thanks to him and his vision. Individually placed video frames collaged together using his unique process.”
