  • Alice Auer Releases Debut EP “Daydreaming”: Streaming

  • London-based singer-songwriter Alice Auer released her long-awaited debut EP “Daydreaming” on April 8, 2022.

The EP comprises 4-track, featuring pop, soul and jazz-influenced sound.
On the EP, she co-wrote songs with Conor Albert, Francesca Hole, Seth Tackaberry and Seth.
Alice Auer shared on social media, “how it's going vs how it started. feels like a weird mixture of scary and empowering to show yourself in a vulnerable state, but here we are. haven't spoken out loads about the car accident, but as most of you know exactly a year ago on the day of my ep release, I was in a car accident where I suffering a couple of fractures as well as some hearing loss and lots of bruises/cuts. it was really scary, and what mostly scared me was thinking about my future and how my healing would affect my voice (as I had fractured my sternum) for a little while it was unclear how long it would take for me to be back on my feet. so to be where I am now - having my debut ep out and also to have put on a headline show is just amazing. I want to thank everyone who's taken the time to stream my music, share my posts, come to my shows or sent me nice messages - you're all amazing + I appreciate the support so much.”
  • Alice Auer explained of some tracks for the EP.

    “Daydreaming”
"I wrote Daydreaming during lockdown in the UK, where I spent a lot of time daydreaming about all the things we couldn't do during the lockdown and I thought it made for some really beautiful lyrics for this song. The chorus lyrics are based on daydreaming about someone you love, and the sensation of falling in love. In this tune, I especially enjoy the relaxed and dream-like nature of this song paired with some visually descriptive lyrics. I feel it fits the name well."

    “Turn Back Time”
"Turn Back Time was written in the Summer of 2021, shortly after I was in a car accident. I was lucky enough to spend my time recovering with my family at their home. Spending this time with my parents, reminiscing about my childhood and when they were my age made me dream up these lyrics about meeting them before I was born and wondering what they'd think of me and the woman I am today. It's quite an emotional song for me, and I hope the message of my lyrics speaks through. I was lucky enough to work with Conor Albert again for this track, he always does an incredible job of bringing my songs to life!"

    "Ghost Of Who"
"Although not directly about me, Ghost Of Who follows a girl after her break up - wanting to go back and change some of her actions which maybe didn't need to be changed in the first place. I channelled my own experience while writing this as I have been in a situation where someone wanted me to change something about myself which I now realise wasn't theirs to change."
