Aeora Premieres New Song “Need You” on SoundCloud
Melbourne-based electro-pop singer-songwriter Lisa Spencer, aka Aeora debuted a new song "Need You", co-written by LANKS and produced by Haxx.
The song follows up "Boss-y" and "Fenceline", which were released in March and July, respectively. Her sound reminds us of Halsey.
She is a science student at Deakin University. Last year she released a debut EP "Alt" and toured with Melbourne ‘industrial dream-pop’ trio RKDA. The tour took places at major music venues including Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory and Brisbane’s Milk Factory.
Originally she learnt vocal techniques from country music such as Dolly Parton and Carrie Underwood in her high school. But recently, she focused on to electro-pop music.
About the new song, Aeora said;
"'Need You' is a song about "reflecting on a relationship – the doubts, the love and the pain. It’s about reflecting upon my own idea of being independent and still needing someone else, and telling myself that it’s okay"
Co-writter LANKS added;
"Her voice is so emotional and evocative, and as the song developed her voice continues to be such a powerful anchoring point that the rest of the production so perfectly sits around"- source : Purple Sneakers
