Gryffin Teams Up With Audrey Mika for New Song “Safe With Me”
- American DJ Gryffin teamed up with American singer-songwriter Audrey Mika to release a new song “Safe With Me” on November 19th.
This marks the first time Gryffin and Audrey Mika worked together.
The track was written by Gryffin, Cleo Tighe, Andrew Jackson, Chris Loco and Audrey Mika. Produced by Gryffin and Chris Loco.
For Gryffin, the song will appear on his upcoming second album. Meanwhile Audrey Mika, it is the follow-up to “Red Gatorade” released in September.
Audrey told PAPER Magazine of the song, “I heard the demo and was honestly hesitant to get on it since it was such a different genre for me. But I wanted to be open-minded and I knew the song would be fire because it was Gryffin, so we got in the studio and recorded vocals. It turned out so great and I'm so happy I pushed myself to do something I don't normally do.”
Gryffin added, “As the song was being worked on, I got put onto Audrey's music from one of my managers, and was immediately drawn to her voice and sound. We pitched the idea of the record to her and she connected with it right away. We got into the studio in LA, and began to fully develop the sound and vibe of the record. We're so happy with how it turned out.”
