Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ VYB Releases New Song “Deja Vu”
Back in March, Atlanta-based alt-pop band VYB (pronounced vibe), consisting of Tom Belau (vocals, keys, guitar), Noah Phillips (lead guitar) and Ryan Jones (drums), released their debut album “Mood Swings”. The album comprises of 9-track, featuring guest appearance from Bathe Alone.
Following the album, the band released a new song “Deja Vu” on November 6th.
VYB said of the song, “We think the most unique part about our music is the fact that each of us pull from different genres when writing songs. In Deja Vu, we think it's very easy to distinguish different styles from Alt Rock, EDM and even small bits of punk. We pride ourselves on our ability to not get sonically stuck in a corner and we feel every one of our songs brings some sort of unique and fresh sound.”
The accompanying music video was directed by Akshay Thomas. The band shared on social media, “This man has been part of VYB team for the better part of 2020 and every time he delivers footage/pictures of us, we are blown away. Akshay is a true visionary and we’ve never seen someone work so hard to get it perfect 🙌 we love you Akshay 🤍 can’t wait to keep rolling out content with you 🔥🤘”
