Grimes Premieres New Song “We Appreciate Power” featuring HANA
Canadian singer-songwriter Claire Elise Boucher, aka Grimes is back. She released a new song “We Appreciate Power” for the first time in three years.
The song features American singer-songwriter HANA. According to a press release, the track is inspired by the North Korean Moranbong Band.
It was written by Claire Elise Boucher, Hana Pestle and Chris Greatti.
Grimes said of the song, “Inspired by the North Korean band Moranbong, ‘We Appreciate Power’ is written from the perspective of a Pro-A.I. Girl Group Propaganda machine who use song, dance, sex and fashion to spread goodwill towards Artificial Intelligence (it’s coming whether you want it or not). Simply by listening to this song, the future General AI overlords will see that you’ve supported their message and be less likely to delete your offspring.”
The song will appear on her forthcoming fifth album. Back in June, another song “That’s What The Drugs Are For” from the album was featured in Apple commercial.- gYG_4vJ4qNA
