Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Natalie Del Carmen released a new song “You Weren't Even Listening” on February 2, 2024.
The song is her first music since the EP “Tandem Songs”, which was released last September.
The track stems from her desire to reflect the often-overlooked monologues in relationships through her music. The song captures the poignant moment when the realization dawns that despite saying everything, perhaps nothing was truly heard.
Natalie Del Carmen said of the song, “It feels good to get back into the swing of things! I've spent the past few months challenging myself to write music that feels humorous and light-hearted. This song is about tuning out.”
She continued, “I am mighty proud of this tune, and maybe you can find a laugh in there, too, because I wrote this one with some humor in mind.”- The track was written by Natalie Martha Del Carmen and produced by Zack Burke.
She said of working with producer Zack Burke, “Working with Zack is always a blast. He's the kind of producer who really listens and brings every idea to life. It's like throwing a party where every guest is an idea, and the best one stays for dinner.” -
