Gwyn Love Releases New Song “die a little less” with La+ch
Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Gwyn Love released a new song “die a little less” on September 22, 2023 via 604 Records.
Gwyn Love teamed up with Toronto-based producer La+ch again on the track.
The song is their third single of 2023, following “lil bit” and “ur gf kisses me”.
The track was written by Gwendolyn Clark, Charlie Kerr, and Robert Benvegnu. Produced by La+ch
Gwyn Love said of the song, “Written with the help of Charlie Kerr (Hotel Mira), it's more specifically about having depression and mental illness, while being in love. It's tough to admit, but I never envisioned myself living a long life. However, this love that I'm building makes me consider the possibility of growing old and I think that's beautiful.”
They continued, “The people in my life remind me why I choose to stay and try to get better. Mental illness doesn't go away and it is so overwhelming to deal with sometimes, but they really help me see hope in the future when I am feeling hopeless.”- Gwyn Love shared on social media, “I've never seen myself living a long life as sad as that is to admit. There's always been a block when i think about the future. It started when I was 14 and I couldn't see myself making it to 18. Then I turned 18, moved away, thought everything would be better then realized I could never escape my brain. This song means so much to me because it represents a glimpse of hope and a possibility of living a life much longer than I ever thought I could. Maybe even a somewhat happy life. so thankful to everyone in my life that keeps me hopeful and makes me want to die a little less.”
