Doja Cat Releases New Song “Balut”
American rapper Doja Cat will release her fourth studio album “Scarlet” next Friday (September 22) via Kemosabe and RCA Records.
The album comprises 15-track, produced by Doja Cat, Y2K, Rogét Chahayed, and Earl on the Beat.
To date, she has released “Attention”, “Paint the Town Red”, and “Demons” from the album.
She performed three songs at 2023 MTV Video Music Awards on September 12, 2023 and won Best Art Direction with “Attention”.
“Paint The Town Red” reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week, making it the first rap song to top the charts in 2023.
From the album, she unveiled a new song “Balut” on September 15, 2023.
The track was written by Amala Zandile Dlamini, David Sprecher, Rogét Chahayed, and Kurtis McKenzie. Produced by Rogét Chahayed, Kurtis McKenzie, and Yeti Beats.
On the track, Doja Cat dismisses the rumors about drug use, and sings “Is it coke? Is it crack? Is it meth? / What the f*ck do she put in them hits? / I’m the sh*t, you a real piece of sh*t / I am needed, you a real needy b*tch I’m competing, you are incompetent”.
