Becky Hill Releases Orchestral Acoustic Version of “Disconnect”
British singer-songwriter Becky Hill released an orchestral acoustic version of “Disconnect” on September 10, 2023.
The original version of the song was released back in July and she teamed up with British electronic music duo Chase & Status.
The new song will appear on the sophomore album, which is expected to be released in 2014.
The track was written by Emily Makis, Karen Poole, Kieron McIntosh, Rebecca Claire Hill, Saul Milton, and William Kennard. Produced by Kieron McIntosh and Chase & Status.
The accompanying performance video was filmed at at Hilton's Canopy London City.
Becky Hill said of the song, “A decade on from 'Afterglow' and I honestly didn't think that I'd be able to do it again, but I have never been more excited about a drum 'n' bass tune like I am about 'Disconnect'. It's a true dance floor record that tows the line between the rave and the radio, and to be working with the likes of Chase & Status, who I have dreamed of working with since I was a teenager, is a real moment for me.
