Hunter Sheridan Returns With New Song “The Moment's in a Hurry” featuring Mattie Leon
Canadian singer-songwriter Hunter Sheridan returned with a new song “The Moment's in a Hurry” on August 31, 2023.
The song is his first music in a year since the 2022 single “Northern Lights”.
This time, he worked with Hamilton-based singer-songwriter Mattie Leon on the track.
The track was co-written and produced by Hunter Sheridan and Mattie Leon.
Hunter Sheridan said of the song, “Don't you wish you could slow time down when you're falling in love? I wanted to preserve every single detail so I could really savour it. This song is a moment of self-reflection after thinking that love would never come your way, but here it is right in front of you.”
He continued, “I enlisted the help of fellow singer/songwriter Mattie Leon for this one. I told him I had the image of driving through pine forests on a summer road trip and believing they could be the one. Mattie started playing this awesome picking pattern on the acoustic guitar, and then we started building the song lyrically while not getting overcomplicated with the arrangement to highlight that daydreamy, romantic style.”- He added, “My relationship started as a long-distance one, and every time we were able to meet, we'd bring a film camera to capture those special memories when we were together. The album artwork is one of those memories, from a camping trip when we had just started dating.”
