Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Lisa Heller released a new song “you were the worst part of my life” on February 10, 2023.
The song is the second single off of her upcoming EP “SADIE”, following "brown paper bag" released back in January.
The track was written by Lisa Heller, Brandon Rosenfeld, Chris Jobe and Mike Schiavo. Produced by Lisa Heller and Chris Jobe.
Lisa Heller shared on social media about the song, “'you were the worst part of my life' is the second song in the twelve chapter musical story of my life. Thus song tells a true story - a difficult one to share but I want to get it out there. I opened up to my two best friends about also being interested in girls, and within the same 24 hours period, they both told me they didn't want to be my friend anymore. While going through this friend breakup and struggling with my sexuality, I was at to be honest, I was feeling pretty hollow my most vulnerable. I started dating someone who helped me through this time and said they were different, bu ended up being even more toxic than my ex-friends. I have had so many restorative experiences since that breakup and have been able to find friends who love me for who I am. Because of this, and because of my slowly growing self - confidence, I finally feel ready to share my story.
