Canadian rock singer-songwriter Billy Raffoul released a new song “Jim Carrey” on December 30, 2022.
The song is the fourth single off of his upcoming EP “I Wish You Were Here”, following “Better”, “I Wish You Were Here”, and “We Could Get High”.
It was written and produced by Billy Raffoul with production by Justin Zuccato. The accompanying lyric video was directed by Travis Latam.
The track is inspired by the 2004 film “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” starring Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet.
Billy Raffoul shared on social media, “It was September of 2019 and I was visiting Bianca Rose in Rotterdam before starting my first European tour as a headliner. After a most polite noise complaint, I found a tree stump outside of her apartment and wrote “Jim Carrey” in it’s entirety that afternoon. The response since it’s release on Friday has been overwhelming. I can’t thank you enough. The Indiana Drones mixed and produced the song with me, Marty Bak mastered it, and Travis Latam is responsible for the artwork as well as the lyric video in my bio. Eternally grateful to Joel and Clementine for the inspiration behind this song.”
