British singer-songwriter Rebecca Lucy Taylor, aka Self Esteem premiered a new song “The 345 (Choose You Edit)” on BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds with Sian Eleri.
The song is the new version of “The 345”, which appeared on her sophomore album “Prioritise Pleasure” released in October 2021.
It was written by Rebecca Lucy Taylor and Johan Karlberg. Produced by Johan Hugo.
When the album was released, she told Apple Music about the song, “It's me singing to me. It's very on-the-nose. I just wondered what a love song to myself would be. I sing so many love songs to these people that come in and out of my life. I wondered what would happen if I sang to the person that's not going to go anywhere, which sounds quite sad.”
This time, she re-recoded the song with the choir.
Self Esteem told Sian Eleri, “So this time I mean, 345 is very, is it's meant to be like a love song to myself. I just wanted a bit more, a few more voices on it. So we got a class choir to come on. You're amazing, beautiful people, amazing voices and it's just giving it that little Jewish I wanted before we released it's yet another single.”- source : BBC Radio 1
