Hannah Wants Premieres “Cure My Desire” featuring Clementine Douglas on BBC Radio 1
- British DJ Hannah Wants premiered a new song “Cure My Desire” on BBC Radio 1 Hottest Record with Danny Byrd.
This time, she teamed up with British singer-songwriter Clementine Douglas on the track.
The song is the first single under her new label Defected Records.
It was written by Clementine Douglas, Darryl Reid and Hannah Alicia Smith. Produced by Hannah Wants, Darryl Reid and Dennis White.
The track showcases a softer, more emotive side to Hannah Wants' sound.
Hannah Wants told Danny Byrd about the song, “This is 100% my most meaningful and special release to date. It came about around two years ago now it's been about two years in the making. An insane singer-songwriter Clementine Douglas sent me a folder of acapellas and ideas and this one was the first one in the folder. At the time, I remember I was going through an extremely traumatic and extremely public breakup. I listened to this song, and I'm not lying to you Danny it was on repeat for hours and just sat, and I just cried. And it was just one of those tracks and the lyrics just resonated so much that I knew that I was going to be doing something with this record. Like I said, two years in the making. It means so much to me. The messages I've had off people when I've put little clips up, I've never had anything like it. So I know that it's resonating with a lot of people too. I just can't wait for it be released.”
