Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Sharky Releases New Song “Sad Songs”
London-based singer-songwriter Georgia Mason, aka Sharky will release her debut album “People Are Strange” on September 23, 2022.
The album comprises 15-track, produced by Todd Speakman.
The album takes its name from a photograph Sharky took in Paris when she was 18 and the subsequent dream she had about revisiting this place.
From the album, she unveiled the third single called “Sad Songs” on September 6, 2022, following “Shark” and “Night On My Mind”.
The track was written by Georgia Mason and Todd Speakman.
On the song, inspiration is drawn from the experiences of iconic female artists like Stevie Nicks and Gloria Gaynor and finding solace in their music when feeling lonely.
Originally, the song was performed acapella by Sharky. The recorded version sees Todd Speakman orchestrate an arrangement around the band, giving a natural groove to the original awkward time signatures.
