South East London based singer-songwriter KOATES has released a new song “Another Life”.
The track received its first play during BBC Radio 1's Future Artists with Jack Saunders.
The song is his third single, following “Japanese Trees” and “Somebody New”.
KOATES said of the song, “I based this single on the everyday decisions we make that can affect our relationships positively or negatively. Get it wrong and we face blow-outs, door-slamming and worse, we just wish we done things differently. Get it right and it’s the best feeling in the world!”
KOATES was born into a music-mania, Buddhist family in South East London. Almost married at 18, it was a close shave at the registry office. This set him up for some pretty unique, emotionally intelligent (in hindsight) songwriting where he ventures into worlds of dark places that emerge hopeful.
