American country singer-songwriter Maren Morris released a new song “Circles Around This Town” along with a music video.
The song is the first taste from her upcoming project after the 2019 album “Girl”.
She co-wrote the song with Jimmy Robbins, Greg Kurstin, and Julia Michaels. The song pays homage to Morris’ career with nods to her previous hits “My Church” and “80s Mercedes”.
The 90s-influenced clip serves as she is seen doing some soul-searching, attempting to find her place within the music industry.
Also, she is nominated for the 64th Annual Grammy Awards for Best Country Song for the single “Better Than We Found It” as well as for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for “Chasing After You” with her husband Ryan Hurd.
But on January 5, 2022, the Recording Academy postponed the ceremony indefinitely due to health and safety concerns related to the Omicron.- source : Apple Music
