Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Simple Plan Drops New Music Video for “The Antidote”
Earlier November, Canadian rock band Simple Plan released their new single “The Antidote” for the first time in two years.
Followed by, the band released Christmas song “My Christmas List”.
But three days left in 2021, the band dropped a new music video for “The Antidote” directed by Jensen Noen.
The video was shot in San Pedro of Los Angeles, California.
The band recorded the song before the pandemic hit. The track is about needing people in your life to get you through everything. Simple Plan said, “We wrote and recorded the song before the pandemic hit, and in lots of ways, it has become even more relevant after everything that happened over the last 20 months. A lot of people are going through some tough times right now, and the song talks about how important it is to have someone or something to turn to when life gets really hard. It can be a life partner, a friend, a family member, something you love to do and are really passionate about. It doesn't really matter, and it can be anything.”
The band continued, “For a lot of our fans and for us, it's been music. Its power to heal, comfort and be a lifeline has never been greater and more needed than now.
