Ray BLK Premieres “Over You” featuring Stefflon Don on BBC Radio 1
- British R&B singer-songwriter Ray BLK premiered a new song “Over You” on BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds with Clara Amfo.
The song is fifth single off of her upcoming full-length album “Access Denied”.
She teamed up British rapper Stefflon Don again for the song, following the 2019 song "Scared of Love" by Rudimental.
Ray BLK told Clara Amfo, “Stefflon was really easy to work with like I've been in the studio a couple of times and she works similar to me where she just she just has a vibe like she just freestyle, in your mind, ego comes out. I think a lot of the time, she likes, like people in the room and stuff like family and friends around, I would love to create an energy create music I love that and yeah she just reached out her melodies and provides like a common with lyrics and her songs come together very easily for watching her work.”
- The new album contains 14-track, featuring Kojey Radical, Giggs, Kaash Paige, Suburban Plaza and Stefflon Don.
It is set to be released on October 1, 2021.
She explained, “I wish it was all really strategic and purposeful but I feel like everything just happens in in God's time and of course there was a lot of expectations for me to release this album, like, as soon as it was announced that one but the reality is always a baby, and I was still finding myself as an artist. And so, and it was so unexpected when in it. We haven't prepared anything.”
She continued, “It was genuinely like a shop that I had prepared for like just such a huge blessing but it meant that I didn't have an album ready, so I just thought, I'm not going to rush something out, and it's not going to feel it and stick to me. And so over time I just kept releasing the music and chopped it up. Now finally ready to release my album.”
