Sasha Sloan Releases New EP “Loser”: Streaming
- Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Sasha Sloan released her sophomore EP “Loser” on November 29 2018.
“I think sad girl (her debut EP) was me trying to figure out who I was, and testing the waters,” Sasha Sloan told Billboard. “Loser is more of me. It’s multi-faceted. They’re both equally as vulnerable — that was my main theme.”
When she was nineteen, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career as a songwriter. To date, she has contributed the songs for LANY, Charli XCX, Anne-Marie, Alma, Kygo, Camila Cabello and more.
She signed to RCA and released her debut EP "Sad Girl" last April.
“When I started putting music out, I thought it was going to be too emo and sad. But I think I just accepted that I make car music, and I don’t make club music, and I’m very okay with it,” she said. “I think people are craving honesty. Fans connecting to music about not having the best self-esteem and feeling insecure and being the weirdo at a party... that makes me feel more confident in me.”
Back in February, she appeared on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert to perform "Older" from the EP. This marks the first time she has performed on TV.
Recently, she appeared on Genius to talk what meaning of lyrics for "Older". She is currently touring with LANY in North America through to June 2019.
