Georgia Covers Kate Bush's “Running Up That Hill”
London-based producer and singer-songwriter, Georgia released a cover of Kate Bush's “Running Up That Hill”.
The song is included on her latest album “Seeking Thrills: The Ultimate Thrills Edition”, which was released on December 11th.
The album is the special edition of her second album, featuring remixes and a special cover.
The accompanying music video was directed by Charlie Di Placido.
“Closing my live sets with 'Running Up That Hill' has been a pure joy, and it sparked the idea to record it,” Georgia wrote of the song on social media. “But it didn't start there, Kate Bush has been part of my life and a major influence on my work since I could sing a note. Her music was always played by both my mum and dad, and when I began to understand the way that sound and production worked, I embarked on my own intimate and personal journey with her music. For me, it was more than just a cover, it was emotional, and an experience I'll always treasure.”
The original version of “Running Up That Hill” was released by singer-songwriter Kate Bush in 1985 from her fifth studio album “Hounds of Love”.
The song was featured as the main theme tune for the 1986 BBC 1 children's drama serial “Running Scared”.- source : NME
