  • The 1975 Premieres New Music Video for “TOOTIMETOOTIMETOOTIME”

  • British rock band The 1975 unveiled a new music video for “TOOTIMETOOTIMETOOTIME” directed by the band frontman Matthew Healy.

    In the clip, Matthew Healy dances with their fans along with the thumping synth-pop track.
    The song was released on August 15 from their upcoming third studio album "A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships", which is set to be released on November 30th.
    The track received its first play during BBC Radio 1. The band worked with co-producer No Rome on the song.

    In an interview with BBC Radio 1, Matthew Healy explained how the track got its dancehall sound;
    "The clap comes from a kind of reggae-ton place, but I suppose it’s […] No Rome, who’s my best mate, who lives with me now and I was working on one of his beats. We’d done a song together called “Narcissist” and we were going to put that out like next month or something and we were working on it and something went wrong. It just started looping too fast and the beat in 2 time just kind of appeared. And then we just made that."
