Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Avicii Tribute Concert Version of “Fades Away” featuring MishCatt
Back in June, Swedish DJ Avicii's posthumous album “TIM” was released. Among the tracks featured was "Fades Away" featuring Swedish singer-songwriter Noonie Bao.
On December 6th, a special concert version of the track was released, featuring Costa Rica singer-songwriter MishCatt.
The Avicii Tribute Concert for Mental Health Awareness took place at Friends Arena in Avicii's home town of Stockholm, Sweden by the Tim Bergling Foundation on December 5th and was streamed on YouTube.
The concert featured a 30-piece band and multitude of singers including Aloe Blacc, Adam Lambert, Dan Tyminski, Rita Ora, and more.
All net profits from the concert will benefit organizations that address mental health needs and support suicide prevention for young people.
A producer of the album “TIM”, Joakim Berg said, “It may now come across as a sad song, but for us in the studio, writing it, we felt it was uplifting and light hearted. We wrote it in a bright mode, sort of carefree, and there were lots of laughing and joking, so for me ‘Fades Away’ will always be a positive song, a simple message about accepting changes, the passing of time and making the best of what you have.”
When Avicii passed away on April 20, 2018, he was close to completing a new album. He left behind a collection of nearly finished songs, along with notes, email conversations and text messages about the music.- WeUCoSaE2Yk
