Camila Cabello Performs “Cry For Me” & “Easy” on Saturday Night Live
- Former Fifth Harmony and singer-songwriter, Camila Cabello appeared on Saturday Night Live to perform “Cry For Me” and “Easy”, featuring host David Harbour.
Both songs will appear on her upcoming second solo album “Romance”, which is expected to be released in 2019.
Her performance of “Cry For Me” is similar to Madonna's famous performance of "Vogue" at the 1990 MTV Video Music Awards.
Camila Cabello dressed in a Marie Antoinette-inspired costume and was accompanied by a slew of male and female backup dancers dressed in similar 18th-century French ensembles.
She said of the song, “I wrote this one a few months ago and it’s been one of my favorites for a while. now get your mascara and scream and cry and rage and rip your photos and delete whoever you’re thinking of’s texts to this one!”
“Easy” is the fourth single off of the new album. She wrote about the song on Instagram, “I wrote this song about the kind of love that makes you love yourself more , I think before you open up to someone you always feel scared that once they see all the stuff you don’t like about yourself , all the things you’re insecure about, that they won’t like you anymore – and when someone sees those things and loves you not only in spite of them, but because of them, it makes you feel truly seen for who you are , and loved for who you are too. I hope you like ‘easy'”
