Au/Ra Releases Two New Songs “Dance in the Dark” and “Medicine”
- German/Antiguan singer-songwriter Jamie Lou Stenzel, aka Au/Ra has released two new songs “Dance in the Dark” and “Medicine”.
The songs are her third and fourth single of 2019, following “Assassin”.
“Both songs are very personal to me in different ways,” the 17-year-old singer explains. “I feel like they are describing two different versions of acceptance,” she continues. “‘Medicine’ is about accepting that nobody can fix you or your problems except for you. ‘Dance in the Dark’ is about the acceptance of the dark times that will inevitably be part of our lives — life will never be perfect and without the bad, there would be no good.”
Au/Ra debuted in 2016 and released “Concrete Jungle”, which gained 15 million streams worldwide. Also, she is known as guest vocals for Norwegian DJ Alan Walker's number-one single “Darkside” in 2018. In the same year, she collaborated with British DJ CamelPhat for her single "Panic Room", which reached No.3 on the US Dance/Mix Show Airplay and No. 5 on the UK Dance chart.
