Tessa Violet Premieres New Music Video for “Crush”
- Los Angeles-based video blogger Tessa Violet Williams, aka Tessa Violet has released a new music video for “Crush” directed by Jordan Harms and Isaac White.
The video was premiered exclusively on Billboard.
The song will appear on her forthcoming sophomore album "Bad Ideas" produced by Seth Earnest, which is set to be released on August 3, 2018.
She first performed the song during her TransAtlantic Tour in 2017.
Tessa Violet said of the video;
“'Crush' is just a real honest reflection of where I was at the time, really yearning for the excitement of being pursued and desired while desperately wanting to play it cool. Isaac [White], my good friend and [music video] director, pitched me the idea of filming in a grocery store and I was immediately so into it. There's something so fantastical about seeing someone perform and move to a music video, in a setting we've all been in a million times. I like the juxtaposition of the freedom of the performance mixed with the normality of the grocery store.”
- Tessa Violet is best known for her YouTube channel as video blogger, who has more than 1 million subscribers. She started vlogging in 2007 at the age of 17 for a school project.
To date, she has released three EPs "Days Of" (2012), "You, Me and Christmas" (2014), "Halloway" (2016), and one album "Maybe Trapped Mostly Troubled" (2014).
She recently signed with Paradigm for booking and will tour with dodie in September.
