Eleanor Tallie Releases New Song “Promised Land”
- Memphis-based Jazz and R&B singer-songwriter Eleanor Tallie has released a new song "Promised Land" via streaming music services. The song is the first single off her upcoming debut album (yet-untitled), which is expected to be released in early 2018. The track is inspired from 80's Jazz and R&B, produced by Steve Greenwell. But the new single is more close to Jazz than previous EP "No Turning Back".
She is currently working on the music video for the song, which will be premiere in shortly.
About the new song, she said;
"This track is the first single in a series of singles I’ll be releasing throughout 2018. It was recorded and produced up in Asbury Park, NJ, by platinum selling producer Steve Greenwell (Joss Stone, Busta Rhymes, Digable Planets and more). Steve called some amazing musicians into the studio to cut the tracks with us, such as drummer George 'Spanky' McCurdy (Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake, Jill Scott, and Lauryn Hill); bassist Jack Daley (Lenny Kravitz, Beyoncé, Michael Jackson); and New Jersey native Larry Friday.
'Promised Land' is an expression, and in this song, it describes a sense of peace in relationships with others, and in the relationship with ourselves. The song was written in retrospect about a relationship gone wrong, and also tells about the conclusions and new hopes that grew from it.
Musically, “Promised Land” has a sound I’ve been dreaming and working to create since I started my solo project in 2016."
- Eleanor Tallie started her music career in Israel. In 2011 Eleanor joined a blues band and travelled internationally as the lead vocalist and co-songwriter. She moved to the US in 2013 and began her solo project as Eleanor Tallie in 2016.
She released a debut EP "No Turning Back" produced by Lawrence “Boo” Mitchell and Uriah Mitchell in 2016.
