Nashville-based singer-songwriter Kelsea Ballerini has released a new song "Legends" from her forthcoming sophomore album.
She performed the song its first play during the 2017 CMT Awards’ outdoor stage on June 7.
Kelsea Ballerini signed to Black River Entertainment and debuted with "Love Me Like You Mean It" in 2014. Her debut album "The First Time" was released in 2015. From the album, she has released four songs including the debut song. Especially, her third single "Peter Pan", which was released in March 2016, reached number 1 on the US Hot Country Songs and the US Country Airplay (Billboard).
Also the song was nominated for Video of the Year and Female Video of the Year at 2017 CMT Music Awards. And she received a nomination for Best New Artist at the 2017 Grammy Awards.
About the new song she said;
“‘Legends’ is one of the first songs I wrote for the record and every time I’ve listened to it, I find a different meaning. It brings me back to the heartbreak I wrote it from, it makes me think of my fans and the journey we’ve shared, and now I sing it from the perspective of a legendary love story.
I hope everyone hears something in it that brings them to a place of nostalgia and is as excited as I am to begin this next chapter together.”-
