Emily Blunt Sings “I Want It That Way” with Backstreet Boys on The Ellen DeGeneres Show
- English-American actress Emily Blunt appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where she sang “I Want It That Way” along with Backstreet Boys.
She recently joined in Walt Disney musical fantasy film "Mary Poppins Returns" directed by Rob Marshall .
And she said an episode when she received a call from director Rob Marshall during interview with Ellen DeGeneres.
“I thought, he's going to ask me to marry him. This is where I get married to Rob Marshall like it was building towards that. He was like: 'Emily, we've been looking for something to do and we are going to do Mary Poppins.' I was like (speechless) I felt my hair sort of blow back. I was just completely shocked and terrified,” she said. “I said to my dear friend about that, she said you've got balls of steel.” she added, “I was like, 'don't say that', it's terrifying.”
“It is a sequel that is set 30 years after the original ... it's set during the Great Depression, so it's a bit of a darker backdrop,” she said in describing the forthcoming film. “We need hope to appear from the skies and amazingly Julie Andrews has turned into me!”
American musical fantasy film "Mary Poppins Returns" is set to be released on December 19, 2018.
The film is a sequel to 1964's "Mary Poppins", which was directed by Robert Stevenson, starring Julie Andrews.It is based on the book series by P. L. Travers.
The film was directed by Rob Marshall, starring Emily Blunt, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Ben Whishaw, Emily Mortimer, Colin Firth, Julie Walters, Angela Lansbury, Dick Van Dyke and Meryl Streep.
Principal photography on the film began on February 10, 2017, at Shepperton Studios in Surrey, England and was wrapped up in July 2017.
